I wish that you were here with me to pass the dull weekend
I know it wouldn't come to love, my heroine pretend!
I know it wouldn't come to love, my heroine pretend!
Holly wasn't exactly a night person...okay, that's a bit of an under exaggeration. She hated the night. Unless she was out partying, she was always in bed by eight o'clock. Maybe she wasn't sleeping, but she was laying down and thinking. It was pretty much the only time that she could actually calm down, and just relax. And yet on this night she had been laying in her bed for hours, and couldn't get her eyes to even close. It may have been the three purple amps she'd had less than four hours ago, but she didn't think so. All she knew was that it was eleven o'clock at night, and her legs wanted to move around, and go for a walk, or do something! And her lungs wanted to get some fresh air. So what was there really to do other than go onto the roof and get a bit of a walk and fresh air? Nothing, really, it seemed the roof would be the best place to go.
And so she went up there, still wearing her pajamas, and didn't even put any shoes on. She wouldn't ever wear shoes, really, if she had a choice. She was a firm believer that feet had to breath, and socks and shoes just ruined it. That's why she usually wore ballet flats, with no socks. Or flip flops. Sneakers were only worn when absolutely nesisary...like for gym class, and such. Other wise they were completely shunned in the little place called Holly Land. They were just stupid useless things that suffocated her poor feet.
She got there quickly, due to her energy, and when she did she looked around. She didn't see anyone else there, which kind of upset her. Holly loved talking! And she loved people...even if people didn't always love her back. It was kind of a love/hate relationship, most of the time...of course Holly was the one loving. Unlike most people, when she met someone knew her first thought was "I love them". Then, if they did something to make her dislike them, it would quickly turn to "i hate them". But most of the time she loved everyone...which god on many peoples nerves. But hating was so last year in Holly Land.
She quickly sat down, and looked at the stars, ignoring the fact that it definitely wasn't all that comfortable on her legs, which were showing beneath her shorts. It was a lovely night out...but Holly considered most things lovely. She really was an optimist, which could be considered either good or bad about her...but most considered it bad. Because she did kind of over do it.
She sighed in a content way, and sat back on her hands, still looking at the sky. She wanted to hum...but she always wanted to hum. There was nothing really all that new about that. She was just hoping that being out there would maybe get her more tired, so she could sleep...and she was also hoping a purple amp would magically appear out of nowhere. Although the first one seemed more likely to happen. "It's a lovely night." She said, talking completely to herself, and then the humming began. It was loud, as there was no one around that she knew about...but then again, it would have been loud anyway. Everything Holly did was loud, even her whispering. You didn't really need to gossip to hear her secrets, you just needed to listen to her "whisper" them to other people.
