SECRETS
-The mother she has now isn't her real one. She found her real mother raped and murdered in their guest house when she was six. To this day they haven't found the murderer. She hasn't told anyone about this except her father, no one outside of her family even knows her step-mother isn't her real mom.
-She has terrible flashbacks and nightmares of that whole period of her life and for a while she abused drugs to try and get away from them. She finally got out of it and feels horrible about it but knows it's part of her life she has to deal with.
WRITTEN PERSONALITY
Evelyn is a kind and sweet girl. One of the few people you can count on to keep your secrets safe and guarded. She wears her heart on her sleeve and loves with all of her heart, even if it's caused her nothing but pain in the past. She's one of those sappy idealists that believe that everyone has goodness in them and, even when faced with the biggest asshole, will always be determined to find it. She trusts far too quickly, but to anyone that becomes her friend she'd do anything for them without a second thought.
Sometimes people find her hard to be around because her perky and optimistic nature. Nothing keeps her down for long, no matter how crushed she gets Evelyn will always bounce right back with just as much spunk and cheer as before. She's got a few things in her past she is ashamed of, but knows that's normal and tries not to let it get to her.
Evelyn is almost an old-fashioned type girl, she likes to take things slow and thinks things over before just jumping into something. That doesn't mean she's entirely the boring type though. She loves to have fun in her own way. She's silly and loves to smile and will do anything she has to to make sure everyone around her is smiling as well, even if it means making a complete idiot of herself to do that.

WRITTEN HISTORY
The first few years of Evelyn's life were the best. Her Mother stayed home with her and took care of her, they were very close. They woke up early and watched cartoons all day and played silly games to pass the time. Her father had a stable, well paying job and took care of the two girls. It was almost like a fairy tale. At the end of the day the whole family ate together at the table and watched movies and spent time together until bedtime.
That is, until she was six. One day her mother had to go out to the guest house to go grab more pillows and blankets for a fort the two were building in the living room. She was gone for an awful long time considering what she was doing. Little Evelyn got curious and went out to see just what was taking so long. That was where she found her mother on the floor, battered and bleeding and barely breathing. The girl called 911 but it was hopeless, she was dead before they reached the hospital. The next years of her life were rough and tumultuous.
It was nearly three years later when her daddy brought home a beautiful and kind woman named Julianne. She and Evelyn clicked immediately. She took to her just like she were already her mother, and the woman treated Eve like she was her own. Just a few months later it was official, she was part of the family, she was married to her father.
Because of a new business negotiation, Bleddyn was soon forced to move to America. This move along with the new marriage was a new, exciting chapter in Evelyn's life. Not soon after they moved there was a new addition to the family, her younger brother Oliver.
For a while everything seemed absolutely fine again. She was going to school and adjusting to her new life in America, making friends. Everything was just how she wanted it.
Like everything in her life though, it didn't last. When she was around fifteen Evelyn started having horribly vivid flashbacks of when her mother died. When she slept it'd be a nightmare and the memory would twist itself in different ways every time and it reopened the wound for her. She couldn't handle it, she tried talking to her father but he would do nothing for her except give her the number of a shrink. Julianne tried talking to her about it but that didn't help either. So for a while Evelyn started doing drugs. They got her mind off of things and made the horrible memories stop for at least a while. She could finally relax and breathe.
But at the same time her life started a downward spiral and it was little Ollie who helped her out of it. Her grades started slipping, she became depressed, she became anti-social and everything that she previously wasn't. And although he was young and didn't' know what was going on Ollie went into her room one day and told her to go away, that he wanted his real sister back and he hated this new imposter lady. That struck a chord and Evelyn slowly straightened her life back out with help from Julianne.
From then on things went alright. She poured herself into her studies, read a lot, did all the typical things a high school kid did. Hung out with her friends, went out to the movies.
She got accepted into the University in nearby Las Vegas and moved out on her own to start her life.
