WRITTEN PERSONALITY
Jenny is a fairly quiet and reserved person, around almost everyone. Of course there are a few exceptions, as there are with everything. When you first meet her you'll probably notice her looks first, and then the way she carries herself. It's obvious that she has no self esteem, and that she doesn't care about herself in the least. When she speaks it's with a quiet voice, and when she looks at people it's usually in a blank stare, until she gets to know them. She doesn't judge people, no matter what.
When you get to know her she'll probably open up a little, but getting to know her isn't exactly an easy process. She doesn't have trust issues, she just doesn't let just anyone get to know her all the way down to her heart. She just loves being loved, and wanted, and needed, and liked, and she'll do anything to get that reaction from people, pretty much. She's very good at reading people, and telling what they're about, and she can know if she's in danger around a person the moment she see's them. However she doesn't usually shy away from danger...oh, no, not at all. Instead she tackles it head on. If she meets someone that just screams danger that's the only time she'll really be even the slightest bit outgoing...and of course it's still not all that outgoing. No, she's not completely insane, she just likes to get reactions from people.
While getting to know her isn't easy getting on her good side is. She loves to be lied to, especially if it usually ends up in her getting hurt. She believes that heartbreak is the greatest feeling on earth, because with each heartbreak you're a step closer to falling in love. She doesn't believe that there is one soul mate for everyone out there, instead she believes that there are several, and the person will meet them all in their life time...and weather or not they choose that soul mate is up to them. She's also a strong believer in after lives, and likes to space out and think about what she might have been in a past life.
While she does space out quite frequently, it's never long, and she usually snaps back pretty quickly. She tends to have a dreamy-ish quality about her, no matter who she's around, and she never really seems like she's paying attention, even when she is. That being said she usually does pay attention to everything around her...her surroundings, if you will. It's incredibly hard to actually catch her off guard, although you think it would be easy due to the fact that she alwayas seems off in her little world. But if you try to sneak up on her, because she looks like she's out of it, right as you think you've got her she'll probably greet you.
She really is very nice, if a bit odd. She's hardly ever mean, although she does love to lie to people. Not about stupid things, mostly just about...well, actually, she does mostly just lie about stupid things. But the lies aren't usually about her...that's not to say she spreads a bunch of rumors about people. But if you were to ask her what she thought of someone, and she didn't like them, she'd tell you they were her best friend, just because she would find it amusing when that person heard that she had called them their best friend, and walks up to her asking why jenny would call them best friends. If that makes any sense.
She kind of suffers from that perminent look of being a deer caught in a head light. If someone goes up to her and starts talking she'll probably be quiet for a few moments, study them, and then gradually start talking more.

WRITTEN HISTORY
With a family like Jenny's it's not hard to see how she ended up the way she did. Her father, being a strange hippie type man who has been addicted to just about every drug in the book, and her mother a small town librarian with horn rimmed glasses and a quiet personality...and a million family issues that she refuses to ever talk about. Of course when you combine the two you end up with Jennifer, or something similar.
Jennifers parents met at the library, where her mother worked from the age of sixteen. Her father had been backpacking across America, and as her father constantly told Jenny, when he saw her it was like magic. It was like the first time he'd heard the beatles...only he was sober when he saw her. kind of. They quickly fell in love, and Jenny's father swept her off to his little land of sex, drugs, rock n' roll, and driving around in beat up mini vans with your fellow long haired friends. She joined them with their little adventure across the USA, and yet she did not reform to be like them. She continued being the shy quiet book worm she always had been...only there was a new addition in her heart, besides all the books and poems. And that addition was Jenny's father.
Despite the fact that they were in love they never got to wed. Patrick's family couldn't afford it, and Mary hadn't spoken to her family since she moved out shortly after High School. And so they went around talking of marriage, and proposals, and never doing anything about it. And then Mary became pregnant...and neither one of them really knew what to think about it. There were two options, really. One, they could be excited, or two they could fake excitement, and they chose number two. They left Patricks long haired brethren, and got a small house in Texas, where Jenny would spend most of her life.
And she did spend most of her life there. maybe it wasn't the best life ever, but it was a life nonetheless. Her mother was always the one carrying the job, her father was the one who stayed home and cared for her. He did a fairly good job, considering the fact that he hadn't had the best parents of his own. Even as a baby he loved Jennifer, and wanted the best for her...and knew he couldn't give it to her.
Jenny's mother loved her too, even if Jennifer claims she doesn't. She was always working, though, or cleaning, and so Jenny hardly has any memories of the woman she called mom for five years. And then, at the end of the five years, on her sixth birthday Jenny found a note. A note she could barely read, due to the fact that even back then she had trouble reading. Jenny also found her father crying at the kitchen table, clutching his own note. Her father did not tell her what was going on for three days.
For three long days Jenny did her normal duties, carried on with a fake smile on her face, and her feet dragging. She knew her mother was gone. She knew her aunt was moving in. She knew her father was finding ajob. And at the end of the third day she knew her mother was never coming back...she probably knew it before that, but the third day was the day when her father told her that she was, in fact, gone forever. He didn't tell her why, ever, but she always felt it was mostly because of her. And she'd never felt less loved in her life.
But her life still couldn't be classified as bad, exactly. Still not great, but it was okay. Her aunt Sophia took care of her while her father worked, she brushed her hair and made he cereal, and made sure her teeth were brushed for school. then after work her father and she would sit in front of the television and tell tales about what had happened during the day. She grew up. She grew up quickly.
By the age of thirteen she could cook full meals, do her own laundry, clean house, and do everything else her aunt could do. By the age of fourteen her aunt was gone, and her dad was pulling double shifts to pull both of their weight. And Jenny was barely passing most of her classes.
And yet she continued going on with her life, step by step, day by day, and the days dragged, and she barely made it into High School. She struggled to make it into High School, she struggled to keep up, and she struggled with her self image. By the age of fourteen she had already been contemplating diets, and by the age of fifteen she had already tried out several. And by the age of sixteen she was seeing no difference...and her life was in the same circle of depression...and she wanted to change things. She didn't like change, but she thought that maybe if she was skinnier things might change for the good...only they didn't.
Jennifer picked up an eating disorder. Not uncommon for girls of her age. And yes, when she did, her life did change. At the age of seventeen her father found out, and sent her somewhere to get "better". She stayed there for a year, and was finally released into the world, and considered cured...only she wasn't, really. She still isn't. Even now, two years later, she barely eats at all, unless she ends up eating like crazy and puking it all up. But she's better at keeping it secretive, now.
It actually surprised Jenny when she got accepted into several colleges...several good colleges, actually. But in the end she decided upon going to Las Vegas, and trying to be an artist. Her dad thought she should have went somewhere else to pursue her dreams, somewhere closer to home, but she refused. And she's been there for the last two years.
