The word 'institute' or 'asylum' immediately makes one think of insanity, equipped with straight jackets and all. But Edgewood is .. different. Built back in 1886 in Edgewood, Washington, Edgewood Institute started out as an asylum for teens. Anyone from ages 13-19 can get in. And Everyone’s here for different reasons. There’s your suicidal teens and your future - or current - murderers. Whatever your reason, you pleaded insanity and were believed, true or not. You might hear voices or hallucinate, or maybe you’re perfectly sane. Over the years, Edgewood as gotten worse. Many of these patients are bitter and are crazy enough to make weapons out of ordinary items. Even the staff, who are supposed to be helpful and kind, are not always what they seem. Once you’re here, you can’t leave ... alive.
